The Bedfordale area is surrounded mostly by Marri and Karri bushland with two major areas close by; Bungendore park and the Armadale Settlers common. Bungendore Park adjoins Wungong reserve which gives the Brigade plenty of area to look after with hazard reduction burns. Add that to private burns, emergency response and public events and we are kept busy. Due to our location, we are also turned out to property and car fires in the local area.

We have two vehicles at our disposal, one Light Tanker and one 3.4 both of which are 4×4 units, the Light Tanker has approximately 500 litres of water on board with the 3.4 having 3,000 litres

A very dedicated group of Volunteer Firefighters, Officers and Station Staff always put in a big effort and are willing to give up their time to benefit the community in any way they can, be it responding to an emergency, bushfire mitigation or public awareness. Our Bushfire Ready Action Group is very active and always willing to educate and hand out information. Check out the “Bushfire Safety” page for more valuable information
